Dingens
Clock
and
Barometers
is
a
prime
example
of
Flemish
entrepreneurship
that
is
so
important
to
our
future.
While
competing
in
a
very
traditional
market,
the
company
has
fully
focused
on
product
development
and
the
steady
emergence
of
new
innovative
products,
many
of
which
were
inspired
by
famous
Flemish
scientists
like
Ferdinand
Verbiest
and
Adrien
de
Gerlache.
The
fact
that
these
new
products
are
now
supporting
contemporary
scientists
and
explorers,
like
Antartic
explorer
Dixie
Dansercoer,
completes
the
development
circle.
Much
like
the
scientists
and
explorers
who
support
Dingens
Clocks
and
Barometers,
the
company
looks
beyond
the
borders
of
Flanders
for
international
expansion.
The
products
of
this
company
prosper
in
these
markets
and
thus
demonstrate
the
typical
Flemish
pioneering
craftsmanship
for
which
we
are
known
worldwide.
I
am
very
pleased
that
in
Dingens
I
have
found
a
strong
partner
in
our
quest
for
an
innovative,
international
and
forward-Flanders
company
that
takes
these
ideals
and
puts
them
into
action.

China : Innovation
in tradition
The
new barometer was
selected by the organization of
the World Expo 2010
