With the new barometer system “Innovacelli” , Dingens Barometers & Clocks is introducing on the market a total innovating project concerning the measuring of atmospheric pressure. |
The barometer : the measuring of the atmospheric pressure.
The principal is no longer based on the measuring of the atmospheric pressure by using the weight of mercury..the standard method, already employed during the last 4 centuries. Today, it is based on a combination of precise tested atmospheric boxes, causing a move of a colored liquid in a small tube of glass. These clearly visible movements, give us the possibility to read easily the changing degree of atmospheric pressure. What’s more, the barometer disposes of a special mechanism by which he is able to calibrate himself automatically by the adjustment of the correct altitude.

In the year 2008, the development of the new concept was starting. In close collaboration with “the Limburg Innovation Center” and making use of an IWT-project, an investigation was made with the University of Hasselt and with “partner-friend” Sirris. This collaboration was resulting a year later in an instrument with a very high precision.
| Those high exactness gives also to the product the chances to be competitive for a professional market. A good example is the development of products who can be used in hospitals and laboratories. In a near future, there is no doubt that the development of different products for industry will appear. |

The barometer measures the pressure of the air.
Due to the sun, the atmosphere is warmed up and is expanding . The constant rotation of the earth around the axis and the differences of surface on the earth are giving as result that the atmosphere is moving at every moment. The moves of the air results in changes of the weather.The barometer measures the exact atmospheric pressure of a moment. When the pressure is rising, the clouds will be carried off and the weather will be sunny. On the contrary, when the atmospheric pressure is falling, at that moment, the surrounding clouds will come together in this valley of atmospheric pressure and there will be rain and wind. A quick falling atmospheric pressure is the messenger of thunder and storm.
